There was an atmosphere of exultation in the Wisdom City when two of Gyankutir faculties Mr. Dhirendra Singh Jaitawat (Faculty Chemistry) and Mr. Rahul Arya (Faculty Physics) were honored with prestigious Dronacharya Award for their valuable contribution in the field of education. Mr. Manoj Sharma, CEO Gyankutir Foundation Hub said that there was an online selection of teachers for this award. The results of past years, their contribution in quality education and use of modern and latest technology in education were among the criteria for selection for the award. It may be reiterated that during their services in the New Jhunjhunu Academy both these educators produced wonderful board results in Science stream and contributed a lot in securing board merits constantly and also in selection of students in pre-engineering and pre-medical tests. This hard work of theirs became a basis for their selection for the prestigious award. The two Gyankutir faculty members were presented with memento, honour certificate, shawl and sreephal on 8th May in a grand ceremony held in the Pacific University located on the Pacific Hills, Udaipur by Mr. G. C. Sharma, Pro-president,Pacific University, Mrs. Parul Mehta, Dean Hotel Management department and Mr. Sharad Kothari, Registrar, Pacific University. it is worth mentioning that over 6000 nominations were received for the award from across the country out of which 300 educators were finally selected. Only 90 people were selected from Rajasthan. Another feather was added to the glowing cap of the Academy when one of its prodigies Neeharika Kataria won the prestigious ‘All India Shree Surya Karan Pareek Memorial Debate Competition’ held at Birla Public school, Pilani on 09th September 2011. Neeharika outstripped debators from over 21 schools from different states. She spoke in favour of the motion ‘Jan Lokpal Vidheyak hi Deshvyapi Bhrshtachaar ke unmoolan me saksham hai’. She won the running trophy and winner’s certificate. Another debator of the school Anurag Tulsyan also received all round appreciation from the judges and the audience. The winners were given warm felicitation in the morning assembly.
Giving recognition to the vast experience and long and constant endeavours in the field of education the Chairman Dr. Dilip Modi and the Managing Director Mrs. Nirja Modi were invited to be part of an international seminar, Global Tie-2011. Dr. Modi delivered his lecture on \'Social Responsibilities of Modern Schools\'. In his lecture Dr. Modi emphasized on the social aspects of education. He underlined the significant role of the schools in preserving briskly deteriorating social values. The topic of Mrs. Nirja Modi\'s lecture was \'Importance of Human Values in Education\'. She said that without human values education is dead. This kind of education can never do any good to any one. The delegates both from home and abroad profoundly appreciated the lectures. Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, the founder Manager of City Montessori and the organizer of the seminar was full of praise for Dr. Dilip Modi and Mrs. Nirja Modi and invited both for an informal talk. Festival of Lights Diwali was celebrated at the Jhunjhunu Academy as Deepotsava with traditional zeal and spirit. The whole Wisdom City campus wore a bridal look on this occasion. The students and the teachers decorated their classrooms, the corridors and every nook and cranny of the Wisdom City with wonderful rangolis and candles. In the evening Jivem Chairman Dr. Dilip Modi, Managing Director Mrs. Nirja Modi, Executive Director Mr. Ashutosh Modi lighted the lamp before Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh. In the evening a music concert was organized. The school music instructor and noted ghazal singer Mr. Ramjan Rizvi enchanted the gathering with his melodies.
